Seeing red-2022

In Seeing Red, I use red as an embodied perception rather than a literal pigment: when I look at the white surface of sanitary pad, I see red through the associations of menstruation, pain, and visibility that the material carried for me for 42 years. The work reveals how experience can reshapes perception.
